Ribbon Cutting at Starstruck Dance Studio

THE SHOALS – Another new business was welcomed to the community by The Shoals Chamber of Commerce. Starstruck Dance Studio at 2415 Rosedale ave., Suite F officially opened its doors August 2. Muscle Shoals Mayor David Bradford was on hand with friends of the dance studio, as well a Ambassadors from the Chamber.

 

 

 

 

 

Here is Studio Director Melissa Mitchell’s statement:

“At StarStruck Dance Studio we strongly believe that inspiration is the point of our existence. We believe that dancing was made to inspire others to do whatever they dream.

Dance is not only about the right steps or the perfect leap, it is about telling a magnificent story and letting one’s soul cry out on a stage. At StarStruck we live to dance;

therefore, we live to inspire.

 StarStruck offers a variety of dance classes for ages 3 and up! Our levels range for age and skill level, and every dancer is given an equal opportunity to shine. A strong foundation in technique and the basics of dance are taught, along with contemporary movement and athletic tricks. We offer: tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, tumbling, musical theater, and a class for kids and adults – strength and flexibility.

 Miss Melissa Mitchell is the Studio Director, teacher, and choreographer here at StarStruck. She was an honor graduate from Muscle Shoals High School- 2008, Northwest Shoals Community College, Phi Theta Kappa and President’s Cup

Recipient – 2010, and The University of North Alabama, Phi Kappa Phi – 2012. She

graduated Cum Laude with a degree in professional management with a concentration

in entrepreneurship. She has been dancing since 1993, and has been teaching since 2008. Miss Melissa’s sole purpose of teaching dance is to allow kids to live their dreams.”
