Rhonda Harbison Shirey was born September 4, 1956. She passed away April 7, 2023 at her home in Ranburne, Alabama. She was 66 years old.
She is survived by her husband, Timothy Shirey. Her sisters, Remona (Steve) Grubbs and Ginna (Martin) Gray. Her 3 children, Charles (Renee) Harbison, Ryan (Maria) Harbison, and Heather Vinson. She loved and adored her 7 grandchildren, Katlyn (Blake) Adaway, Carrie Price, Hailey Harbison, Callie Harbison, Emiley (Stephon) Edmondson, Brittany Harbison, and Hope Harbison. She also doted on her 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, William Horne; her mother, Betty Horne; and sister, Vickie Breed.
Rhonda was a strong woman who loved her family unconditionally. She devoted her life to raising her kids and helping raise her grandkids and great grandkids. She also adored her nieces, nephew, and cousins.
Rhonda had a contagious sense of humor and the ability to always make lemonade from lemons. She was a chocoholic and shopaholic-rarely passing up the opportunity to go to a yard sale or thrift store shopping. She was an avid reader, enjoyed listening to fifties music and watching mystery suspense movies. Above all she was a great listener and full of compassion and grace. She will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched.
A Celebration of Life Service for Rhonda will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2023, at the Chapel at Cremation Services of East Alabama.
