Rex Hairel, age 64 of Fort Payne, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021 at his residence. He was born on April 16, 1956 to the late Luke & Ruth Faulkner Hairel in Dekalb County. He was a member of Minvale Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 4 until 8 p.m.
Mr. Hairel is survived by his wife of 42 years, Susan Rogers Hairel; brothers, Johnny Hairel and Leonard Hairel; and sisters, Mary Dale and Vera Green.
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Amanda Hope Hairel; parents; brother, Nelson Hairel; sister, Imogene Hairel; half-brother, Jack Hairel; half-sister, Louise Downer; and mother-in-law, Audry Rogers.
