The funeral service for Reva Robertson, age 95 of Mellow Valley, will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Mellow Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Dwayne Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Robertson passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the Clay County Nursing Home. She was Adams County, Illinois native and lived there until she moved to Bradenton, Florida in 1963. Mrs. Robertson worked in the banking industry as a teller, retiring in 1971 and settling in Clay County in 1975. She served as the organist for Mellow Valley Baptist Church from 1981 until 2007.
Mrs. Robertson is survived by her step-daughter, Lynn Burnett of Bradenton, Florida; her step-son, Jim Robertson (Kelly) of Atlanta, Georgia; three step-grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren and a number of extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents: William Roscoe Lierle and Fanny Mae Deming Leirle; her husband of 10 years, James Robertson and two brothers: Melvin and Rex Lierle.
Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Mellow Valley Baptist Church from 10:00 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M. The family requests no flowers; however, memorial contributions may be made to the Mellow Valley Baptist Church cemetery fund or the church/charity of your choice.
