Retha Eunice Weems, 90, of Tuscumbia, passed away July 8, 2013.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 11, from noon-2 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. in the chapel, with burial to follow in Tharptown Cemetery.
Brother Kenny Moorer is officiating.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, David Martin Hall.
Survivors include her husband of 72 wonderful years, Johnny F. Weems;
four sons, Johnny R. Weems, Ted A. Weems (Libby), Tommy B. Weems (Darlene) and W. David Weems (Lisa);
three daughters, Bonnie Wimpee (James), Peggy Thomas (John) and Judy Pennington (James);
grandchildren, Beth Croney, Brian Croney, Retha Clark, Rebecca Johnson (Darryl), Jonathan Thomas (Kennette), Sara Keane (Sean), Molly Tubbs (Frankie), Julie Rice (Marcus), Star Degraffenried (Stephan), Erica Hand (Matt) and Justin Pennington; and several great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dusty Hall, John David Rosar, Justin Pennington, Jonathan Thomas, Nick Croney, James Pennington, James Wimpee and John Thomas.
Mrs. Weems was a member of College View Church of Christ. She operated the Snack Bar at UNA’s Student Union Building for 20 plus years. Retha loved young people.
