Renea Cates McGee, 54, of Anderson, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, June 28, 2025. Renea is survived by her daughters, Megan (Chris) Wright, Danielle (Taylor) Thigpen and the absolute light of her life, her grandson, Charlie Thigpen, her mother Ann Cates, brother Charles “Punkin” Cates and sister Monica (Michael) Mason, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Renea is now reunited with the love of her life and husband Troy ‘Tank” McGee, and her father Charles Cates. Visitation for Renea will be held at Greenhill Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 5:00pm – 8:00pm. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 11:00am, with Jerry Marlow officiating. Burial will follow at Bluewater Cemetery in Center Star. Pallbearers will be John Mason, Garrett Mason, Aaron Duford, Cody Burbank, Joseph Clemmons, and Jacob Cottrell. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Cottrell and Johnathon McGee.
