Regina “Jeanne” Elinor Hartz – Obituary

Regina “Jeanne” Elinor Hartz of Huntsville passed away at the age of 96. She was born and lived most of her life in Pittsburgh, PA. As a teen, she sold hot dogs at Forbes Field (for 10 cents each). During WWII, she was a secretary for the Army. She spent her professional years as a secretary for Gulf Oil. She was a Life Master in bridge and volunteered at the Fletcher Seldon Center as an ESL mentor. She attended Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Survivors include her brother, Ken and wife Doris, of Alexis, IL; as well as many loving nieces and nephews, and their children in both Huntsville and Illinois.

Visitation will be from 3 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 3:30 p.m. with Father Michael Mac Mahon officiating.  Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Huntsville Health and Rehabilitation for their kindness and care during Aunt Jeanne’s last years.
