Reeder Belew Beavers, 74, of Killen, Alabama, passed away Oct. 31, 2014, at ECM Hospital. Mr. Beavers was a retired truck driver for Bigbee Steel, a member of Center Hill Church of Christ, a Cahaba Shriner, and a member of Greenhill Masonic Lodge No. 402.
Mr. Beavers is survived by son, Rodney Elbert Beavers and wife, Jill; daughter, Mona Gail Thigpen and husband, Terry; brother, Dan A. Beavers; sisters, Clayton Wright, Delores Ann Patterson, and Jeanette Ingrum; and grandchildren, Olivia Beavers, Alex Belew Beavers, Tyler “Thumper” Thigpen, and Hannah Thigpen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonzie and Mary Ester Clemmons Beavers, and his sister, Katie Burgess.
Visitation will be today from 5-8 p.m. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Greg Dial officiating. Burial will be in Center Hill Church of Christ Cemetery.
