FLORENCE-Reclaimed Spirit located at 416 N. Court Street in Florence held their grand opening and open house on Wednesday, May 24. Their friends and family were along to help with the celebration and the Shoals Chamber provided the ribbon cutting for the event.
Now a little about Reclaimed Spirit by Stacey by Reclaimed Spirit by Stacey:
“Reclaimed Spirit by Stacey is a lifestyle brand encompassing original artwork, home furnishings, jewelry, natural bath products, and local, artisan goods. Owner Stacey Hamner began her career as a Designer of children’s clothing for Dillard’s after graduating in Apparel Design at The University of Alabama. From there, she moved into Textile Design for the outdoor furniture industry. After having two children, Stacey relocated to Florence and began painting and selling her work locally.
Over the last four years, painting grew into hand-lettering onto the art and signs, as well as a creating a line of tea towels featuring her script. Last fall, she brought her husband on board to develop Shady Acres Soaps, named after their home-stead, that includes natural soaps, bath bombs and hand-poured soy candles. With the opening of Reclaimed Spirit, the brand can continue to expand, as other jewelry designers, photographers and makers work are added in to offer “Pretty things for your home.”
Reclaimed Spirit offers a creative learning outlet, too. Stacey shares her techniques and expertise through small workshops for adults, including Hand-Lettering 101, Mixed Media, and Watercolor & Brush Lettering. There will also be a creative outlet for children during two Art Camps offered this summer. Stacey says, “I want to stock ready-to-go gifts and decor, offer custom painting and furniture commission work, and, if you’re a DIY-er or just want to have fun with friends, I want to help you do fun and creative things.”
