Rebecca Sue Moore, passed away on December 12, 2023 at her home, as her wishes, after a brief illness with her family by her side.

She was born on New Years Day, 1935 to Buford Paul (Peck) White and Myrtle Mae Willis White. Rebecca graduated Michie High School in 1952 and was married shortly thereafter to J.R. (Bully) Moore. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Michie. Rebecca, or Beck, as her friends and family called her, was involved in the family farming business, and worked in the garment industry over forty years.

Beck enjoyed gardening, cooking, family and friends; particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed sitting on her patio watching “her” deer and turkeys. She was fiercely competitive from high school basketball to board games.

Beck lived alone for many years, very independent and a hard worker. She was not one to put something off until tomorrow; if it needed to be done, it should have been done yesterday.

Beck was repeatedly heard to say, “You may have it rough, but there is always someone who has it worse off.”

Rebecca is survived by daughters Debi Bertalotto (Kevin), Belinda Henson(Jeff), and daughter-in-law Marilyn Moore; her sisters, Peggy Choate, and Linda Crotts (Art), and brother Danny White (P.J.) and sister-in-law Sue McCann; her grandchildren: Steven Moore, Joshua Henson, Adam Henson, Scarlett Gattis, Shiloh Foust, Biancha Foust; her great-grandchildren: Ella, London, Addison, Grayson, Mahlon, McCovey, Kennedy, Amelia, Eze, Charleston, and Adley Kate. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband J.R. Moore, her son Nelson Moore, her companion Pee Wee Edmondson, a brother Billy White and sisters Emma Gray and Doris Smith.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pebble Hill Cemetery Fund to Nathan Moore: 5535 Michie Pebble Hill Rd, Michie, TN 38357
