Rebecca Dale Taylor Rebecca Dale (Clemons) Taylor, 59, resident of Decatur, AL left this life to be with the Lord on February 26th, 2023.

She is survived by her daughter, Hannah Trull, son in law, Blake, brother, Chris Clemons (wife, Stephanie), and brother, Stanley Clemons. She was preceded in death by her father, Patrick Stanley Clemons.

Becky spent her formative years growing up between Decatur, AL and Somerville, AL. When her daughter was born, she was a stay-at-home mom, and later went back to work at Charter Telecable. In 2004, however, Becky started working at NAFECO as a front desk receptionist. Over time, she moved up to a dual role of key accounts and customer service and has diligently and proudly worked for NAFECO for 19 years. During her time there she obtained a wealth of knowledge about fire equipment, and she was a human encyclopedia when it came to anything relating to turnout gear, boots, fire trucks, hoses, you name it. Anytime a customer came in to NAFECO, more than likely she was first person they saw, and she was always eager to help. Because of this, Becky became well known by many of those working in emergency medical services within the Morgan County area, and she also served customers from other states throughout the Southeast. Becky always loved to help her customers and was grateful for the relationships she built with them.

In her free time, Becky enjoyed crafting and watching Alabama football! She could cross stitch intricately detailed pictures typically involving country landscapes and scenes, bible verses, or old timey Coke ads. She would often work on these pieces while yelling at the TV during Alabama football games and the stitching kept her hands busy and her mind at ease. When Alabama wasn’t playing, she loved to visit her friends and family, and she often tried to make a stop at her favorite restaurant, Rosie’s Mexican Cantina.

Not only was Becky an expert cross-stitcher, but she could also crochet, sew, or make just about anything. She used her talents to run a small Facebook page business called “Stitch, Hook & Stuff”. Her best sellers were the famous “Scrubbies” and dish cloths which she often gifted to friends and family during the holidays and special occasions. Her specialty in recent years became embroidery and monogram work whether it be sewing cursive pastel-colored letters onto baby burp cloths or using her Cricut to make decals for water bottles or customized press on patterns for shirts. Regardless of what Becky was working on, she took immense care and attention to detail, not a stitch out of place, and ensuring that no matter the product, and no matter who the customer was that they were pleased with the outcome.

Becky’s passing came suddenly and there is no doubt she will be greatly missed. She was a loving mother, sister, and coworker. Mom’s funeral services will take place on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Shelton Funeral Home 2105 Beltline Rd SW, Decatur, AL 35601. Visitation 11:00 am and Funeral at 1pm. Burial will take place immediately following at Roselawn Cemetery 741 Danville Rd SW, Decatur, AL 35601.
