Rebecca Broadway Biggerstaff, 94 of Athens, passed away on Sunday May 15, 2022, at home surrounded by family.
She was a graduate of Athens High School, and lived most of her life in the Piney Chapel area. She was a lifetime member of Ephesus Church of Christ.
Mrs. Biggerstaff is preceded in death by her husband, Walter “Buddy” Biggerstaff; grandson, Walter Steven Smith; parents, Monroe and Edith Broadway; brothers: Harold Broadway of Athens, AL and Douglas Broadway of Clinton, TN.
She is survived by her daughters: Elaine Logan (Jack) of Gardendale, AL, Edith Vaught (Tommy) of Montgomery, AL, Barbara Chapman (Don) of Decatur, AL, and Frances Biggerstaff of Athens, AL; granddaughter, Stephanie Kitchens of Montgomery, AL; great-granddaughter, Madelyn Rebecca Smith of Florence, AL; sister-in-law, Rachel Broadway of Clinton, TN; and brother-in-law, Charles Biggerstaff of Athens, AL.
Visitation will be Thursday May 19, at McConnell Funeral Home from 1-2pm. Funeral services will be at 2pm in the chapel with Bro. Robert Fudge officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Ardmore, AL.
