A visitation and memorial service for Rebecca “Becky” Jernigan, age 81, will be held March 24 from 2-4 p.m. at North Jackson Baptist Church in Jackson, Tenn. The eulogy will be given by her grandson-in-law, the Rev. Bryan Partridge, of Norman, Okla.
Ms. Jernigan went home to be with the Lord on March 19, at her home in Muscle Shoals, Ala. after a battle with cancer. She was an active member of Highland Park Baptist Church of Muscle Shoals. She was born in Henry Country, Tenn. on April 11, 1932, the daughter of the late Elmer H. and Lorace Johnson, of Jackson, Tenn. Originally from Jackson, Tenn., she is survived by two daughters, Jovita (Mike) Carter, of Muscle Shoals, and Jennifer (Jimmy) Honen, of Jackson, Tenn.; a sister, Nettie Jean Cooper, of Jackson, Tenn.; a brother, Mike (Harriett) Johnson, of Jackson, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Scott and Chad Honen, Ashley (Bryan) Partridge and Bradley Carter; and three great- grandchildren, Makenna, Elexis and Damon.
Memorials may be directed to Highland Park Baptist Church in Muscle Shoals, Ala. or North Jackson Baptist Church in Jackson, Tenn.
