Rebecca Anne Nelson Fletcher, age 69, of Decatur, died Friday, September 24, 2021, at her residence. Shelton Funeral Home is assisting her family with arrangements.
Mrs. Fletcher was born March 4, 1952, in Coshocton, OH, to Herbert Nelson and Betty Eileen Wilson Nelson Waddell. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sandra Waddell. Mrs. Fletcher was an elementary teacher in the Atlanta public school system.
She is survived by her loving husband, William Jackson Fletcher of Decatur; two daughters, Kathlene Collinsworth (Chris) of Columbia, TN and Mary Robyn (Stephanie) of Horn Lake, MS; two grandsons, Samuel and Lucas Collinsworth of Columbia, TN; three nephews, Scott Patterson of Akron, OH, Shawn Payne (Jennifer) of Dacula, GA, and Jesse Keith Payne (Robbie) of Dacula, GA; and a host of great- and great-great-nephews and -nieces.
