Mrs. Reba Lou Potter Simmons, 88, passed away Friday October 2, 2026, at her home in Jasper, Tennessee.
She was born in Dunlap, Tennessee on July 1938, to Auby Potter and Evelyn Heard Potter who preceded her in death along with her husband, Malcolm Simmons; brothers, Tommy, Steve, Alvie and Auby Jr.; sisters, Stella, June, Shirley, Ruth and Lois; sisters-in-law, Virginia and Alene; brother-in-law, Joe.
She was a member of the Christ Church Episcopal at Tracy City and retired from Tennessee Consolidated Coal Company. She spent most of her life in Tracy City and was a native of Spencer, Tennessee.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Lori) Simmons; sisters, Lisa, Charolotte and Liz; grandchildren, Kelly (Rene), Alex, Zach and Cameron; great grandchildren, Makaylah, Atilla, Achilles, Addy and Charlie Ann; sister-in-law, Inez; brother-in-law, AR and Fred; honorary daughter, Belinda; a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church in Spencer in the coming days and time will be announced.
