Raymond William Schneider, 79, of Huntsville, passed away Friday. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willy and Eleanor Schneider, and brother, Bob Schneider. Mr. Schneider was a member of Whitesburg Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute where he received a degree in Physics. He received a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Auburn University. He worked for 40 years supporting Hellfire Lab at Redstone Arsenal as a civilian employee.
He loved the outdoors, nature, fishing and hiking. He was a beloved husband and father, and had a real passion for his grandchildren and all of his family
Survivors include his wife, Nonevee Schneider; daughters, Camille Phillips (Brent), and Marlene Bruno (Wayne); brother, Ron Schneider; sister, Norma Flaska; and grandchildren, Marie Bruno, Hunter Phillips and Anna Phillips.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 13 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home with the service to follow in the chapel. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
