Raymond Wayne Morris Raymond Wayne Morris, age 78 of Winchester passed away on Wednesday February 12th, 2020 at STRHS in Winchester. Mr. Morris was born July 25, 1941 to the late Avery Woodie and Genevieve Morris in Cowan. He retired from the Winchester Fire Department after 33 years of service where he held the position of Fire Chief. During his free time he enjoyed woodworking and building houses. He loved traveling and most importantly spending time with his family. Mr. Morris was a faithful and devoted member of Owl Hollow Church of Christ. He will always be remembered for being full of life, hardworking, and making the best homemade ice cream. In addition to his parents, Mr. Morris is preceded in death by his Wife, Ola Mae Foshee Morris; step daughter, Conni LeAnne Jennings Brown; uncle, Leon Morris; and great granddaughter, McKenzee DeCamp. He is survived by his son in law, Wayne (Vickie) Brown; grandchildren, Cameron (Keith) Stephens of Soddy Daisy, Jaymee Reed of Huntland, Kayla (Matt) Damron; great-grandchildren, Hannah Stephens, Simon Stephens, Carson Reed, Cooper Damron, and Libby Damron; brothers, Woodie (Betty) Morris of Lynchburg, Jimmy Morris, David (Cindy) Morris of Winchester; and sister, Linda Wilhoite of Tullahoma. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Friday February 14, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday February 15, 2020 in the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. Jason Powell and Bro. Walter Rayburn officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
