Raymond Truette Profile Photo Raymond Truette, age 80, husband of Lucille Griggs Truette, and a resident of Williamsport, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at his residence.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Chad Hanes officiating. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in Williamsport Cemetery. A visitation will also be held on Wednesday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on October 19, 1945, in Key West, Florida, Raymond was the son of the late Willie Edward “Ed” Truette and the late Lillie Mai Johnson Truette. He married Lucille Griggs on November 12, 1965, and together they built a loving home and life that spanned more than 60 years.

Throughout his long and dedicated working career, Raymond contributed his skills to several companies, including Maury Steel/Monsanto, MC West, General Trucking, Occidental Chemical Company, Columbia Gulf Transmission, and the Maury Highway Department. He retired in October 2018.

Raymond was a true outdoorsman at heart. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, mowing, and farming. He enjoyed dancing, listening to country music, watching westerns, and playing horseshoes. Known for his generous spirit, he was always ready to lend a hand to neighbors or anyone in need. Above all, he was an amazing man who cherished time with his family, especially caring for his grandsons. Raymond was a member of Arkland Church of Christ.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, James (Stephanie) Truette of Williamsport, Robert Truette of Williamsport, sister, Carolyn Morton, grandchildren, Cody Truette and Zack Truette, sister in law, Kinez Yanone, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Alvin Truette, Ruby Truette, and Judy Silvis.

Those serving as pallbearers will be James Truette, Robert Truette, Zack Truette, Jason Dodson, Tommy Fly, James Jackson, and Jason Dunn. Honorary pallbearers will include friends and family.
