Raymond “Ray” Leo Hill, 77, of Hazel Green, AL passed away Friday, July 3, 2015 at his home. Ray was born March 10, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan to Lottie and Cecil Hill. He served our country in the U.S. Army for 21 years as a military police officer. He was an avid Crimson Tide fan and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Ray is survived by his wife, Shirley of 52 years, his daughter Teresa and son-in-law Angelo Bonilla, his two sons, Glenn and Terry of Hazel Green and a brother William Hill of Lapeer, MI and sister-in-law Kathy; three grandchildren, Lena Gauntt and husband Sam of New Market, AL; Angi Bonilla of Fultondale, AL and Megan Hill of Hazel Green, AL; one great-grandchild Addison Gauntt of New Market, AL. Visitation and services are at Hampton Cove Funeral Home, 6262 Highway 431 S, Hampton Cove, AL 35763. The visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Tuesday July 7 and the funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 8 with Pastor Mike Edmonds officiating.
