Raymond “Ray” Eugene DeLong – Obituary

Raymond “Ray” Eugene DeLong, age 68, of Columbia, Tennessee passed away on July 25, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Ray was born on December 13, 1949 in Parkersburg, West Virginia. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a loving father and grandfather; he loved all of his grandchildren and also loved his dogs very much.

Ray is survived by his wife, Carole DeLong; daughters, Rachael (Jason) Porter and Carey (Dan) Busch; grandchildren: Samantha McIntire, Colleen Busch, Eric Busch, Ethan Walls and Katie Porter; sisters, Charlotte Busch-May and Sue Vance and brother, John Finnigan as well as his best friends Angel and Spot.

The family will visit with friends on Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home with Mike Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19.

Pallbearers are Ray’s friends and family.
