Raymond Oscar Hamm, 91, passed away Friday, October 7, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Alabama to Purvie and Audie Blanton Hamm. He worked at Sunshine Mills for 40 years. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 11, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Billy Nichols officiating. Burial will be in Halltown Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by five grandsons – Steven Hall, Rob Hall (Misty), Jared Hamm (Crystal), Jason Hamm and Joel Hamm; four great-grandchildren and a host of great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Willodean Hamm; his parents; son, Frank Hamm and daughter, Peggy Chaffin.
His grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 11, 12-2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
