Graveside Services for Mr. Raymond L. Brown, age 80 of Lineville, were held on Monday, February 1, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at New Harmony Christian Church Cemetery with Bro. George Worthington officiating.
Mr. Brown passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021 at the Clay County Hospital. A lifelong resident of Clay County, Mr. Brown worked most of his life at Ace Products as a plant supervisor. Upon retirement, he worked part time at Doller General as a floor stocker. He enjoyed working in the yard and tending to his flowers and his garden. Mr. Brown loved picking with his grandchildren, but was always generous, good-hearted, and was always willing to help people. He was a member of New Fellowship Baptist Church.
Mr. Brown is survived by his daughter, Carol Denise Dean of Oxford; his son, David Brown (Jennifer) of Lineville; his daughter in law, Jan A. Brown of Lineville; 6 grandchildren: Amanda Brown, Tiffany Shaddix (Adam), Johnathan Dean, Tyler Ray Brown (Amber), Brook Brown, and Garak Pepper; 8 great-grandchildren; one sister, Catherine Gunter (Carol) of Munford; and extended family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alford Lavelle Brown and Audrey Mitchell; his wife, Barbara Carolyn Holmes Brown; one son, James L. Brown; one grandson, T.C. Clifton III; and one brother, Frank O. Brown.
Active Pallbearers will be Tyler Brown, Jon Dean, Leon Rogers, Steven Rogers, Frank Brown, Jr., and Ted Mitchell.
