Raymond John Kooyer, age 84, Haleyville, AL. passed away Friday December 10, 2021 at his home. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War, was a member of First United Methodist Church in Haleyville, AL.
Graveside service Monday December 13, 2021 at 2:00PM at Littleville Cemetery, with Jeff Flinn officiating the service. Pallbearers will be David Miller, Tobie Waldrop, Mike Evans, Keith Riddle, Jon Honey, Will Honey and Todd Kooyer. Honorary pallbearer will be Stan Watson.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Kooyer; children, Brenda Thompson and Todd Kooyer; 3 sisters and 1 aunt; a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Blanche Kooyer; 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
