Our hearts are broken to announce the death of our father, Raymond H. Mayes. He left this world on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at the age of 81.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 19th from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with military honors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Vera Mayes; daughter, Donna Simkovich; granddaughter, Ashley Phelps.
Survivors are his daughter’s, Janet V. Burt, Ramona Ivy, and Tricia Mayes; grandchildren, Tosha, Ashley, Brian, Andrew, Matthew, and Chelsey; 6 great-grandchildren.
Raymond was a U.S. Navy veteran and was retired with Reynolds Metal Company.
