Mr. Raymon William Phillips, age 77, of Arab, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice.
Mr. Phillips was born on August 3, 1941. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in the Vietnam War. He was in charge of sound for the music group Boys of Alabama. He is a member of the VFW-Arab Lodge, life member of the NRA, served as an auxiliary for the police dept & was part of the neighborhood watch. Mr. Phillips enjoyed raising horses.
Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife of 29 years, Donna Hewitt Phillips; step sons, Robert Barnes, Jim Barnes & Kelley Conner; step daughter, Debbie Barnes Collins; sister & brother-in-law, Lavella Maze & R.V.; brother & sister-in-law, Louie Phillips & Estelle; step grandchildren, Tracy Jackson, Stacy Wilbourn; step great grandchildren, Taylor Jackson, Sean Jackson; host of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, William Phillips & Neatie Wilks Phillips; sister, Nellie June Hayes; brothers, Troy Phillips, Radford Phillips.
Funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Bro. Michael Lackey & Gary Beam, officiating. Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
