rayfordRayford Danley moved to heaven Monday morning July 21, 2014. He was born December 30, 1925. He was one of eight children born to O.A. and Lera Danley. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Thelma, Etoyle, Everett, O.A., Jr. , Earl, and Claude. He is also preceded in death by his wife Theda M. Danley and second wife Shirlee Wakefield. He is survived by his his sister, Stella Masterson, his three children Larry Danley (Pam), Debbie Camp (Steve), and Melody Stearsman, and his third wife Sue Gann Danley. He has two grandchildren Matt Stearsman (Jennifer) and Lacey Kay Danley. He has a great-grandson Brice Stearsman. He also leaves behind his loyal and loving dog Candy. He was a dedicated Christian man and was a member of the Tuscumbia Church of Christ. He was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He worked for T.V.A. for 39 years. Visitation will be Wedneday July 23, 2014 11:00am until 1:00pm at Morrison Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the chapel. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Jeff Abrams will officiate. Pallbearers will be Roy Abston, Steve Abston, Mac McCreless, Lee McCreless, Matt Stearsman, John Walker, Wade Gann, and Jerry Gann. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Hand, Jerry Masterson, and Elders of The Tuscumbia Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association and P.A.W.S.
