Private graveside service for Rayburn Kenneth Sandlin, age 84, of Moulton will be 11 a.m. Monday, August 31, 2015, at Moulton Memory Gardens with Neil Carter and Leland Free officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Sandlin who died August 28, 2015, at Decatur Morgan Hospital was born May 23, 1931, in Lawrence County to the late Percy H. Sandlin and Reba Rodgers Sandlin. He was a self employed electrician and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He served in the Navy and was stationed on the USS Miller and was a member of Sons of the Confederacy. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gwen Sandlin, and sister, Shirley Long.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Lang Sandlin, Moulton; son, Joel Lang Sandlin (Janice), Moulton; daughter, Kathy Sandlin Gautney (Sonny), Decatur; six grandchildren; 16 geat-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; brother, Bobby Sandlin, Moulton; sister, Diane Hill (Ray), Moulton; and sister-in-law, Bonnie Sandlin Terry.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
