Ray Young, age 80, Haleyville, AL. passed away Tuesday September 26, 2017 at his home. He was retired from Detroit Edison Utilities, was a member of Corinth Heights Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Saturday September 30, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville. Funeral service will be Sunday October 1, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Corinth Heights Baptist Church, with Dr. Lance Hogan officiating, visitation at the church 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Burial in the adjoining cemetery.
Ray is survived by his wife, Nila Fay Young; children, Roger Young, Sherry Harris and Kathy Malik; granddaughter, Porshell, Brandon, Shelby, Blake and Julia; great grandchildren, Kylee, Olivia and Raelyn.
His was preceded in death by his parents, Tillman Lercy and Velma Lucas Young; sister, Mary Fay Herring
