Ray B. “Chubby” West – Obituary

Ray B. “Chubby” West, 68, died Saturday, December 8 at NMMC. He was born March 2, 1944 in Tishomingo County, MS. He was retired from Sunshine Mills after 33 years. He was a veteran of the US Army.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday, December 10, at Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, Tishomingo, MS. with Bro. Bill Burcham, Bro. Tim Hisaw and Bro. Keith Shewbart officiating. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Al. will be in charge of arrangements.

Survivors are his children-Lisa West Graham (Gary) of Red Bay, Laura West Hisaw (Tim) of Iuka, Tammy West Lucas (Scott) of Belmont and Richie Ray West (Brandi) of Saltillo, Donna Barnes of Tishomingo and Amanda Young of Red Bay; His grandchildren-Morgan and Andrew Hisaw, Addison and Hunter Lucas, Hannah, Connor, Kyndall and Ava West; one sister-Lexie Shewbart (Keith) of Glenwood, Ark; the mother of his children-Francis West of Tishomingo.

He was preceded in death by his parents-Elijah and Hazel Lee Ann Meeks West; two brothers-David West and Wayne West and one sister-Marie Bowen.

Pallbearers will be Scott Lucas, Gary Graham, Marty Thomas, June Holland, Hunter Lucas and Andrew Hisaw. Honorary Pallbearers will be his co-workers from Sunshine Mills, Ralph Renfrow and Charlie Lindley.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Sunday, December 9, at Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church and until service time on Monday.
