Randy Thomas Hays, 65, of Cordova, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Cordova Health Care with his loving sister at his side.
Family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Mt. Philadelphia, from 5 until 6 p.m., with Kilgore-Green Funeral Home directing. Service will follow at 6 p.m., at Mt. Philadelphia, burial at the adjoining Mt. Philadelphia Cemetery. Dustin Murray and Jr. Chappell will officiate.
Randy was loved by everyone. He will be missed terribly. He loved Alabama Football, Cordova Blue Devils and the Atlanta Braves. He used to enjoy going to the Alabama game for his birthday with his sister. Randy had a great memory and if he ever met you one time, he never forgot your name and could remember it when he saw you the next time.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Hays and Marvie Russell Hays; grandparents, Louis and Ada Russell and Fayette and Mintie Hays; brother-in-law, Johnny Martin.
He is survived by his sister, Patsy H. Martin; nephews, Shannon Daniel (Candace) and Jeremy Daniel (Amber); great nephews, Brannon Daniel and Jesse Daniel; great niece, Grace Daniel and a host of cousins and friends.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff and nurses at Cordova Health for the loving care they gave him for 14 years and the members at Mt. Carmel Church that visited Randy so faithfully. He loved you all.
Pallbearers will be Shannon Daniel, Jeremy Daniel, Brannon Daniel, Jesse Daniel and Byron Miller.
