Funeral service for Randy Michael Long, age 63, of Moulton will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with O. D. Bowling, Denny Bowling, Lynn Harville, and Phillip Hines officiating. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Midway Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Long, who died Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Parkway Medical Center, was born October 24, 1959, in Alabama to Prentiss Long and Betty Brown Long. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Ricky Long. Randy was loved by everyone who knew him. His goal for EVERY day of his life was to make others laugh, and he did that so well. You always felt comfortable and loved when you were with him. Randy loved the Lord and his family more than anything in this world. He enjoyed spending time with his family which includes his dog, Brody, watching FOX news, playing music and rook with his friends, and just cutting up and carrying on with whomever was around.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Kenum Long; two sons, John Cody Long and Jesse Long; brother, Steve Long (Joyce); sister, Tammy Long Oaks (Brian); sister-in-law, Becky Linderman (David); and eight nephews and nieces, Joel Long, Johannah Robinson (Blake), Josh Long (Abby), Jake Long (Ashley), Annie Smith (Bo), Alex and Lilly Oaks, and Ben Linderman (Kim), along with eight great-nephews and -nieces, all 16 of whom lovingly called him UNK.
Pallbearers will be Josh Long, Jake Long, Joel Long, Eli Long, Keller Long, and Alex Oaks.
