Randy Lee Hester, age 54 of Vance, formerly of Dora, passed away on Tuesday August 21, 2018. His two loves in life were his family and playing music. He loved to put a smile on people’s faces. His unique sense of humor and jokes will be missed. He was an avid Alabama fan, and enjoyed hunting and fishing and looking for arrowheads. A true Southern gentleman who was proud of his heritage. He was a gifted contractor and could build anything.
Funeral services will be Saturday August 25, 2018 at 11:00 am in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Chris Barnett will officiate. Burial will follow at Bryan Cemetery. Visitation is Friday night 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Etheleen Hester and brothers, Richard and Roger Hester.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Phyllis Hester; daughters, Colleen Scott, Danielle Thomas (Colby) and Brandi Toole; sisters, Rebecca Jane Vining (Sam), Rhonda Hester and Rita Sanchez (Jose); brother, Robert Hester; a host of nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
