Randy Keith Stephens, 64, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026 at his mother’s residence. He was born in Booneville, MS to Jerry and Virginia Moore Stephens. He was a member of Golden Central Baptist Church and a passionate Mississippi State fan who proudly attended every home football game for 38 consecutive years. Above all, his most cherished title was “Papa Ran,” and he treasured his Thursday visits with John Wesley.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, April 29, 5 P.M. at Golden Central Baptist Church with Bro. Mickey Trammel officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 29, 2-5 at Golden Central Baptist Church. Burial will be in Belmont City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by her daughter, Haley Bost (Wesley); grandson, John Wesley Bost; mother, Virgina Stephens; three brothers, Jeff Stephens (Anita), Rodney Stephens, Shane Stephens (Sherry); a host of nephews and a niece; great nieces and great nephews; several aunts and uncles; and a special friend Angie Wigginton.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Stephens; grandparents, Posey and Isa Moore and James and Beulah Stephens.
Pallbearers will be Chase Stephens, Chad Stephens, Cade Stephens, Cole Stephens, Alan Williams, Griff Griffin, Pat Giley, Lynn Sparks, Mike Stephens, Greg Stephens, David Moore, Joey Moore, Phil Moore and Ricky Scott.
