A Celebration of Life Service for Randy Gibbs, 76, of Hartselle, will be on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Cowboy Church of Limestone County in Athens, with Bro. Rodney Sanders officiating.

Randy was born in Kansas on March 27, 1950, to Warren Leo Gibbs and Jane Carey Gibbs. He was reunited with them in Heaven on August 15, 2026.

Randy was proud of his commitment and service to his country, and it reflected in his 25 years of military service in the United States Army. He graduated from Athens College and later worked as an Aerospace Engineer for Cargo Helicopters. Aside from his spending time with his family, Randy enjoyed watching Auburn football and the Green Bay Packers. But his all-time favorite thing was to be out on the water, fishing.

My father was giving and fiercely loyal to both family and friends. My dad believed that loyalty and integrity were the cornerstones of a man’s life and that if a man worked smart, worked hard and with direction, he would ultimately be successful throughout his whole life. My father’s passing has left a void in many peoples lives and for his great qualities he will long be remembered. This was best expressed by one of dad’s close friends who, at learning of his passing, said, “I am sad, but I am sadder for the people who never met Randy.”

Left to always cherish his memory are:

His Sweetie – Jean Gibbs

Sons – Carey Gibbs (Sandi) and Jay Gibbs

Daughter – Crystal Gibbs

Nine Grandchildren – Jordyn Gibbs, Hunter Williams, Noah Daws, Savannah Gibbs, Kaylin Gibbs, Scarlett Gibbs, Ivy Gibbs, Tessa Gibbs, and Austen Green
