Randall L. (Randy) Armistead, age 52, died on March 21, 2016. Randy graduated from Homewood High School and Auburn University. He was an avid fan of Auburn University football. His passion was the Atlanta Braves and major league baseball. He was employed as a publisher with Highlands Publications.
He is survived by his mother, Linda King (Troy), of Belgreen, Alabama; father, Larry Armistead (Betsy), of Gastonia, North Carolina; and sisters, Lori Foley (John), of Alpharetta, Georgia, and Melissa Sizemore (Randy), of Atlanta, Georgia. He is also survived by two nieces, two nephews, and many cousins. The family received friends 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2016, at Ridout’s Valley Chapel, Homewood, Alabama (205-879-3401). Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 25, 2016, at Franklin Memory Gardens in Russellville, Alabama.
