Randall Keith States, 57, of Smyrna, TN, died Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville. A native of Decatur, he was a member and trustee of River Walk Baptist Church in Smyrna. He was a graduate of Nashville Auto Diesel College and was a truck driver. His greatest loves were his family and friends, woodworking and Alabama football.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Harold Gene States and Mrs. Frances Louise Lowery States.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Beth Sanford States; two children, Brian Keith States (Melissa) of Murfreesboro, TN, and Brie Elizabeth States of Smyrna, TN; two loving grandchildren, Kayla and Bryson States; and one sister, Theresa Diane States Hudson of Decatur.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. at Woodfin Funeral Home in Smyrna, TN. A memorial service will be Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Woodfin Funeral Home.
