Ruth Turner Mrs. Randa Ruth Turner, age 95 of Vernon, AL, passed away Friday, June 19, 2020, at Generations of Vernon.

Mrs. Turner was born May 11, 1925, in Suggsville, AL, to the late Marion E. Thompson, Sr. and Artemisa Thompson.  She was a faithful member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Vernon and was a dental assistant.  She was married to the late Zadus Turner, Sr.  She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Edwin Thompson, Ramon Thompson, Joe Banks Thompson, and Robert Thompson, and two sisters, Eddie Lily and Clara Gradick.

Funeral services will be Monday, at 2:00 PM, at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Vernon, with Bro. Joe Beckon officiating.  Burial will follow at Vernon City Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday 1:00-2:00 at the church prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons, Jody Turner, Walt Turner, Turner Kilpatrick, Jon Kilpatrick, Cade Hatfield, Zane Turner, Nathan Kilpatrick, Trey Pinkerton, Landon Kilpatrick, and Wit Turner.

Survivors include two sons, Zadus (Martha) Turner, Jr. and Joe (Diane) Turner, both of Vernon, AL; five grandchildren, Amy (Ray) Kilpatrick, Emily (Jason) Hatfield, Jody (Ashley) Turner, Kim (Larry Wayne) Pinkerton, and Walt (Cassy) Turner; 14 great-grandchildren, Turner, Jon, Nathan, Landon, Olivia, and Hope Kilpatrick, Cade and Alex Hatfield, Anna Kate and Trey Pinkerton, and Zane, Isabell, Wit, and Wynter Turner; one sister, Linda Leps of Midland, TX; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the First Free Will Baptist Church, P.O. Box 546, Vernon, AL 35592; the church you attend; or the charity of your choice.
