Ralph N. Emmons, 77, formerly of Florence, passed away July 6, 2015. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church, Plumbers and Steam Fitters Local No. 760 and a graduate of Sheffield High School where he excelled as a football player.
Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Friday, July 10, 2015, at 1 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ernie Emmons officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mr. Emmons was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Cora Emmons, and eight brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his son, David Emmons; daughter, Melissa Emmons; brother, Wes Emmons (Donna); sister-in-law, Joan Emmons; former wife and dear friend, Joann Patterson (L.C.); grandchild, Molly Ann Emmons; and several nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers will be nephews, Ricky, Matt, Ronnie, Jimmy, and Lee Bratton and Tony Carter.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Sheffield Bulldogs Breakfast Club.
