Rae Gustav Alvin Lehmann, Jr., 71 of Arab died Friday, December 25, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. Lehmann was born November 17, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Rae, Sr. and Delores Marie Wood Lehmann. He retired from the United States Army. He and Lovella Mason have shared their lives together for the past 21 years and have called Arab home for the past 20 years. He was a member of Whitesburg Baptist Church in Huntsville.
He is survived by his wife: Lovella Mason; five daughters and spouses: Elaine Kilpatrick, Judy Mason (Toby), Lisa Estes (Jimmy), Patty Lehmann and Melanie Lehmann; step son: Jurgen Mohr; five grandchildren and spouses: Taylor Murphree (Elyssa), April Baugh (Jason), Jessica Banks (Travis), Mason Estes and Alex Mateo; four great grandchildren: Jordan Baugh, Hannah Baugh, Zaylee Banks and Kambree Banks; two “precious babies”: Mork and Mindy; four brothers: Ronald Lehmann, Douglas Lehmann, Larry Lehmann and Ricky Lehmann; four sisters: Dollie Wood, Cookie Maben, Debbie Morris and Lisa Winrow; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, his church family and many dear friends and neighbors.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, Brother Randy Blakely, officiating. Burial with full Military Honors, offered by the United States Army will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery, Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Jason Baugh, Jimmy Estes, Elyssa Guttery, Toby Gwathney and Rickey McCay.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
