Rachel Yvonne Hogge Jordan
Rachel passed away on October 29, 2014 after an 11 year battle with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. She was a Gloucester, Virginia native living in Gurley, Alabama with her husband Earl E. Jordan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman Edward and Alberta Dorothy (Birdie) Hogge, brothers, Eugene and Nathan, sister, Rheba Karen Hogge. She is survived by her brothers, Robert and Wayne Hogge, her beloved husband, Earl E. Jordan, and step-sons, Earl E. Jordan, Jr. and Robert William Jordan. Rachel was an accomplished Environmental Scientist. Rachel was a 1972 graduate of Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia with a B.S. in Biology. She was greatly loved by her many friends and family. She would like to say thank you to Dr. Dang and his wonderful staff for their excellent care that they gave to her.
Visitation for Mrs. Jordan will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 3pm until 5pm at Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville. Services will be conducted following the visitation at 5pm in the Spry Funeral Home Chapel.
