Mrs. Rachel Nell Wilson of Hazel Green departed this life on February 27, 2023 to be with her Lord. She was 94. She was a native of Madison County, Alabama and a member of Bevill’s Chapel Baptist Church. She loved to spread God’s word through her music, singing with the Bevill’s Chapel Trio and was known for her delicious pecan pies.
She is survived by her sons: Jerry Wilson and his wife, Raynell and Paul Wilson and his wife, Linda; By her grandchildren, Brian Wilson and his wife, Chrisy; Brad Wilson and his wife, Krystal; Charlotte Berry and her husband, Mike; Sandra Brown and her husband, Joey; By her great-grandchildren: Katlyn Wilson, James Wilson, Rachel Roberson, Angus Roberson, and Kensley Stewart; She is also survived by her sister, Agnes Britton.
Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” Wilson; Her father, Elbert E. Stewart; Her mother, Mary Stewart; Her step-mother, Zennia Harris Stewart; Her sister, Nina Stewart; Her brothers, Gerlon Stewart, Lawrence “Wilmer” Stewart, and Wayne Stewart.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2pm at Bevill’s Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Benny Berry officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Burial will follow the service and will be in Bevill’s Cemetery.
