Rachel Lott Parker, age 78 of Athens passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at her residence. Mrs. Parker was born on December 26, 1938 in Tennessee to John R. and Lola Jordan Newman.
Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her first husband, Junior C. Lott and second husband Ules (Buddy) Parker; her parents; four brothers and five sisters.
She is survived by two sons, Doyle Lott (Kathy) and Ricky Lott; one daughter, Robbie Parker (Max);step-children, Leshia McKnight and Bryon Parker; grandchildren, Timothy Lott, Matthew Lott, Kim Hargrove, and Aaron Parker; great-grandchildren, Addie, Joseph, Chase, John Layden, James, Charlotte, Payton, Hayden, and Zachary; sister, Margaret Tarpley, and many other family and friends.
Services for Mrs. Parker will be 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with James Turner and Tee Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-9:00 on Tuesday, January 10, 2017.
Burial will take place in Roselawn Cemetery.
