Rachel Lee Hurst Heathcoat, age 74, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at ECM Hospital. The visitation will be 6:00 -8:00 p.m. Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be 2:00 Monday, September 18, 2017 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Jerry Verbon Vandiver officiating. Burial will be at Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael & Osalee (Bonner) Hurst, son, Timothy Vaughn; and sister, Bessie Hurst Searcy.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Walter Ed Heathcoat; children, Wayne Allen Guthrie, Dewey Guthrie; step-children, Jim Heathcoat, Patty Heathcoat, Timothy Heathcoat, Brenda Smith; grandchildren, DeWayne Guthrie, Patrick Vaughn, Derrick Vaughn, Michael Paul Guthrie; brother, Marshall Hurst (Genelle); sisters, Dorothy Simpson, Mary Staggs; and a host of nieces & nephews.
Spry Memorial Chapel assisted the family.
