Rachel Hathcoat SparksRachel Hathcoat Sparks, peacefully departed this world on November 21, 2023, at the age of 91. Rachel passed away at Hanceville Nursing Home, surrounded by the care and comfort that she so selflessly provided throughout her life. She was a faithful member of Albertville First Baptist Church.
Rachel is survived by her loving children, Diane Pratt (Dennis Marker), Julie Chandler, Candy Moore (Gary), and Joan Moore (Pete); grandchildren, Win Chandler, Melib Marker, and Josh Moore, who brought joy and laughter to her days.
Rachel was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Janie Hathcoat, her beloved husband, Charles Kenneth Sparks, her brother, Donald Hathcoat, and son-in-law, Terry Chandler. The reunion with those who went before her brings solace to the hearts of those left behind.
A celebration of Rachel’s life will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023, at Albertville First Baptist Church. The funeral service, officiated by Bro. Chris Johnson, will commence at 10:30 am, providing an opportunity for family and friends to gather and share in the memories of a life well-lived. The family will receive friends starting at 9:30 am, an hour prior to the service at the church. Rachel will find her final resting place at Giles Memory Gardens, 140 Bethel Road, Pulaski, Tennessee, at 1:45 pm on Monday.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Rachel’s honor to Albertville First Baptist Church. As we bid farewell to a remarkable woman, let us remember the love, grace, and strength that defined her life. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love she so generously shared with the world.
