R. Sue Blackburn Hardesty, age 76, Russellville, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, Aug.15, 2012, at Helen Keller Hospital.
The visitation will be from noon-2 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, prior to the 2 p.m. funeral service at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville, with Brother Thomas Thornton officiating. Interment will be in Burnout Missionary Baptist Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mike Cook, Mark Aldridge, Linc Hand, Wade Hacker, Danny Hacker and Hoyt Humphries.
She was preceded in death by sons, David Blackburn, Terry Blackburn, Phillip Blackburn; parents, Walter McKinley Hacker and Sara Alice Hacker; brothers, Velon Hacker, Veyon Hacker, W.C. Hacker, Wayne Hacker and Anthony Hacker.
She leaves to cherish her memory husband, Thomas D. Hardesty; daughters, Edith Hand (Mark) Aldridge and Kimberly (Michael) Cook; sisters, Lela Dawson, Varniece Warhurst, Jackie Coleman; brothers, Reynon Hacker, Ace Hacker, Harty Hacker; grandchildren, Linc Hand, Terry Blackburn, David Blackburn, Tyann Milstead, Kristi Poss, and Kayla Poss; nine great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Lion Hill Baptist Church.
