Obituary of Quitman Wigginton Quitman Wigginton, 93, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at The State Veterans Home in Kosciusko. He was born March 6, 1933 to Doc Samuel and Francis Hutcheson Wigginton. A life marked by faith, service, and dedication, Quitman devoted himself to his family, his community, and the work he believed in. He was a faithful member of Booneville Church of Christ and proudly served his country in the United States Army. Professionally, he spent more than 30 years at Northeast Mississippi Community College, where he served as Associate Director of Vocational Technical Services and made a lasting impact through his commitment to education and service to others.

He is survived by his daughter, Phyllis Russell (Cliff); his brother, James Edward (Betty); his sister, Charlene Rorie; his grandson, Matthew Greene (Brittany); his granddaughter, Lauren Greene; his great grandson, Sam Finley; and his great granddaughters, Meredith Greene and Lillian Greene.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ann Wilson Wigginton; his brothers, Lex Wigginton, Leland Wigginton, Roy Wigginton, and Harold Wigginton; and his sisters, Quinnie Ride, Glen Wigginton, and Inez Manness.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at McMillan Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 P.M. at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Estes officiating. Burial will follow in New Site Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Larry Rucker, Mitch Parrish, Warren Taylor, Mark Taylor, Jim Wigginton, and Sam Finley.
