Quilla Faye Palmer, 73, died Sunday, September 4, 2016, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born April 1, 1943, to Thurmon Oliver and Flora Pannell Sheffield. She was a homemaker and worked for Super-Sagless for many years. She loved horses, enjoyed sewing, and was a friend to anyone who know her.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Ministers Carl Dunlap and Douglas Kitchens officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband Pete Turner; two sons, Randle Palmer of Marietta and Rockey Palmer of Mantachie; one daughter, Anita Palmer Mink of Baldwyn; one brother, Larry Sheffield of Mantachie; three step-children, Debbie Elliff and Sandy Foster, both of Mooreville, and Gary Turner of Mantachie; five grandchildren; and 14 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Thurmon Sheffield, Jr.; and three sisters, Bobbie Nell West, Mae Kennedy, and Geneva King.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
