Quay Williams Robertson, 93, went peacefully to be with her eternal Lord and Savior early Monday morning, August 31, 2026, at Mitchell Center in Tupelo. Quay was born July 10, 1933 to the late Hollis E. Williams and Maurine Grissom Williams in Itawamba County, Mississippi.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, the late Henry A. Robertson as well as her little brother Billy Ray who passed away when he was only 2 years old.
Quay had a servant’s heart. She was a member of the Gray Ladies for the American Red Cross during WWII providing services to the sick, reading to the injured and writing letters for disabled patients.
After getting her real estate license in 1975, Quay worked alongside her beloved husband at Robertson Realty for many years and later for Deposit Guaranty in Tupelo until her retirement to take care of her mother. After her mother’s passing, Quay went back to work part time at Regions and M&F Bank. She adored her customers from the banks and knew each of them by name. Quay continued working until Henry became ill and she spent his last years lovingly caringfor him. She was a devoted and faithful member of Harrisburg Baptist Church for 64 years.
Quay leaves behind 2 children, Maria Benson (Bill) of Brewer and Mike Robertson (Penny) of Blue Springs; 3 grandchildren, Lauren Milstead (Jon), Jeremy Robertson (Shae), Rachel McLaughlin (Shane) and six great-grandchildren, Ethan, Will Henry, Mia, Holt, Graham and Ethan. She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Bo Robertson.
Along with her beloved family members, Quay leaves behind a very special group of life-long friends, her supper club; Dot and the late Troy Maxcy, Alice & CW Jackson, the late Lynette and Buddy Miller, Gene Freeman and the late Jean Freeman, Margaret and the late Adolph Duncan, and very special friends, Dot Donald, Betty Richey Smith, and Hazel Roberts.
A service celebrating her life will begin at 2 PM Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026 in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo with Dr. Forrest Sheffield and Bro. David Smith officiating. Private burial will follow in the Ellistown Cemetery in Union County. The family will receive friends beginning at Noon on Thursday.
