QUAD CITIES — The Alabama Department of Transportation advises motorists that resurfacing of two miles of U.S. 72 from the north end of the O’Neal Bridge to Glendale Street in Florence will begin the evening of Monday, June 12, weather permitting.
Work will take place from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly, Sundays through Thursdays. Motorists are advised to expect single-lane closures in either direction during work hours. Completion is anticipated this fall.
Rogers Group is the contractor on the $1,422,654 project.
