position today.

Crowell joined Athens State in November of 2011. He helped guide the University through many academic and policy

changes that followed the University’s move from being governed by the State Board of Education to an autonomous governing board. Cromwell was the Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs at St. Aloysius College in Pennsylvania prior to coming to Athens State.

“I appreciate the contributions Dr. Cromwell has made to the institution during the past three years,” said President Bob Glenn. “We thank him for his service to the University and wish him well in his future endeavors.”

No interim provost and vice president for academic affairs has been named at this time. A national search will be initiated to find a replacement.
